Afterschool Pick-Up — Acton, MA

We offer pickup for Parker Damon Upper and Lower students Monday-Thursday.

Prices start at $50/month for one pick-up a week. Half-day pick up prices vary on frequency of attendance (attending one half-day program a month will be $15 for pick-up)

Once you are signed up, please update your Parent PickUp Patrol - you can find detailed instructions below. We cannot pick up your child if this is not updated the school is not informed.

Setting Penguin Coding School to your PickUp Patrol

Set Penguin Coding School as a Permanent "Default Plan"

Use this option if your child comes to us on the exact same days every single week.

  1. Log into your account at the PickUp Patrol Parent Portal or open the app

  2. Navigate to the Default Plan tab

  3. Tap your child’s name

  4. Select the day of the week

  5. Tap the Plan menu and select "Walk/Pickup"

  6. In the Organization / Notes field that appears underneath, type: "Penguin Coding School"

  7. Select the other matching days of the week this plan applies to

  8. Click Save

Submit a One-Time "Plan Change"

Use this option if your child is only attending our program for a specific date, special event, or single day.

  1. Open your PickUp Patrol App

  2. Choose the date of the change on the calendar

  3. Select your child’s name

  4. Choose the dismissal option of Walk/Pickup

  5. In the details text box, type “Penguin Coding School”

  6. Hit Submit. You will receive a confirmation email once it goes through.

FAQs

  • Yes, our head teacher will walk to the school to pick the students up. The group will then walk together back to Penguin Coding School using sidewalks and crosswalks.

  • As long as it is still safe to do so, we will pick students up in the rain and snow. We do ask that parents take note of the weather and pack an umbrella, jacket, or change of socks/shoes.

  • Our head teacher will be in charge of school pickup.

  • If your child is not in school on a day they are scheduled for pickup, please call or email Penguin Coding School to let us know.
