Kindergarten is a great time to introduce coding and robotics as a FUN activity

Penguin Coding School offers classes for students as young as five years old. Kindergarteners will be introduced to games and LEGO robotics that lets kids get used to working with blocks of code without knowing how to read or type. Students will work with an iPad where all they need to know is how to swipe items from one end of the screen to the other.

We offer two paths for kids ages 5 to 6: Scratch Junior and LEGO Robotics. Both coding education paths are built on top of a robust curriculum that gently introduces beginners to the basics and then builds up their confidence so they increasingly are able to tackle higher level coding and programs on their own. Scratch Junior and LEGO Robotics both use drag-and-drop interfaces which allow kids to use colors and shapes to determine which blocks to use for a specific program.

Kindergarten classes are only offered in-person
